McLeod County Food Drive Challenge

McLeod County Businesses are using a friendly competition supporting the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf with the challenge being won by whichever community raisers the most food & financial donations on a per capita basis. Last year there was a total of 75,000 lbs collected from throughout McLeod County with Silver Lake winning the challenge by collecting approximately 5 lbs of food per resident.
March is an ideal time to fight hunger with every donation being matched (pound for pound and dollar for dollar) by the Minnesota Food Share Network. This drive will run March 1st through March 31st.
Please consider making donations of non-perishable food, cash (including memorial donations), gift cards (Coborn’s, Pamida, etc.), cleaning supplies, or personal hygiene items. Donations can be made at the following locations here in Glencoe:
