DEMOGRAPHICS - The 2000 Census reports Glencoe’s population as 5,453 residents. The Minnesota State Demographer project’s the community’s population to grow 32% (7,600 residents) by 2035. Median age for Glencoe is 35.5 years and median family income is $55,496.
TRANSPORTATION - Glencoe is centrally located between the metropolitan areas of the Twin Cities, Mankato, Saint Cloud and Willmar providing access to key transportation networks. This includes the four-lane U.S. Highway 212 and rail access through Twin Cities & Western Railroad.
GLENCOE INDUSTRIAL PARK - The community’s infrastructure includes the City’s Industrial Park located along US Hwy 212. The City of Glencoe offers affordable building sites. Lots selling for $1.50 per square foot with additional incentives on the purchase price available to qualified businesses.
WORKFORCE - The area’s labor force is committed, team-oriented, and reliable. In 2008, McLeod County had the second highest percentage of manufacturing employment in the state. This specialization provides local manufacturing companies a talented pool of skilled workers.
