Volunteer Opportunities
The following Chamber non-profit organizations have a need for volunteers:
-McLeod Emergency Food Shelf -
The McLeod Emergency Food Shelf needs volunteers for a variety of tasks including stocking shelves, sorting donations and working with clients. Available times for volunteers to work at the Glencoe or Hutchinson sites include 8 AM to 1 PM Monday through Friday. Please call Marietta at 864-2088 to discuss volunteering in Glencoe or Carol at 587-4796 to discuss volunteering in Hutchinson. Teenagers or parents with responsible school-age children may also be appropriate candidates for volunteering for the food shelf. The McLeod Emergency Food Shelf has met the standards of the Smart Givers Network.
-Crow River Habitat for Humanity -
Crow River Habitat for Humanity is accepting volunteers for its committees. In particular, the Public Relations Committee is seeking someone to help promote the organization and its fundraising activities through writing, proofreading and overall marketing. Glencoe Regional Health Services - Friends Across the Ages -
Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will change your life forever? Consider becoming a Friends Across the Ages volunteer at Glencoe Regional Health Services. This program gives you the opportunity to connect with nursing home residents who are in need of friendship and companionship.
