DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs all duties related to the water system including, but not limited to: recording daily well and plant readings, checking chemical equipment and dosage, operate water softener, backwash filters, distribution maintenance and repair
• Repair and replace water meters
• Perform water and sewer inspections
• Locate Gopher State One-Calls
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid class D Minnesota driver’s license with the ability to obtain a class A CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements within 1 year of date of hire
• Ability to obtain class D water license within 2 years of date of hire
• Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certificate or degree from a one- or two-year program in wastewater or water technology, biological, natural, or chemical sciences
• Experience working in a wastewater or water treatment plant and/or collections system
• Valid Class D or higher Minnesota water and/or wastewater operator certification
• MPCA Type 4O waste disposal operator license
• Experience or knowledge laboratory testing practices
• Valid Class A Minnesota CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsement

Glencoe Police department is accepting applications for one immediate full-time Police Officer position. Applicants should have strong community policing mindset, solid work ethic, and have great communication skills. Current 2023 contract is $29.01- $35.31. Lateral officers will be credited for time served. There is a possibility of front loading two weeks of vacation, for past experience. Great medical and dental benefits provided.

Glencoe Light and Power Commission is an electric utility seeking an individual in the mechanical technician field (or equivalent work experience) to operate and maintain its generation facilities and substations in compliance with all applicable state, federal and industry related regulations. Desired education and experience include a two-year degree in an auto or diesel mechanical technical program with moderate experience in electrical and mechanical work or equivalent.
Ideal candidate would also have knowledge and understanding of A/C and D/C electrical systems. Requires a valid driver’s license and must obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license within 6 months of employment. Ability to report to the Generation Facility within 30 minutes. Must obtain a “Special Engineer” boilers license within the first 6 months of employment. A post-job offer physical, including drug/alcohol test is required. Light and Power Commission offers a comprehensive wage and benefits package and is an EOE.
