Our Wastewater Treatment Plant has recently seen a significant increase in needles and syringes entering the system. These items pose serious safety risks to staff and can damage equipment.

Please do NOT dispose of needles or syringes by flushing them down toilets or drains.

Proper disposal options include:

Using approved sharps containers

Taking sharps to designated drop-off locations or pharmacies that accept them

Following local or county sharps disposal guidelines
