Notice- Morningside Avenue Project

This week's unusual snow has created difficult conditions for the Morningside Avenue street construction. The contractor and county are working hard to minimize the inconvenience for you. We recommend that you do not drive on the street until the gravel is placed. The snow may cause soft spots that will get vehicles stuck. In the meantime, you may continue to park in the Coborn's lot. Virtual Open House for Highway 212 J-turn Projects

MnDOT District 8 and its partners are encouraging the community to attend a virtual open house for the Highway 212 J-turn projects.  The virtual open house begins Monday, October 19 and will take comments through Friday, October 30. In 2022, MnDOT will build two J-turns in the Glencoe area.  The J-turn located at the intersection of Highway 212 and County Road 1 includes a permanent snow fence to reduce drifting and blowing snow.  It also includes improvements for people who walk and bike.  …

Public Notice: Draft ADA Transition Plan – Public Meeting and Comment Period

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has enacted a requirement that all local agencies with greater than 50 employees or who are slated to receive federal funding included in the 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) must develop and adopt an ADA Transition Plan or be substantially working towards completion of the plan.
